Bill was born in Memphis, grew up along the Tennessee River in a small community called Eastport, which sits at the water's edge across the river from Waterloo, AL.  He attended NWCC, NECC, as well as Mississippi State where he earned degrees in marketing and mortuary science.

Chris is a life-long resident of Killen and a proud member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. He is a graduate of Brooks High School and earned a degree in Human Science and Funeral Directing at Jefferson State. He is married to Dana Dison Tank and is involved with Brooks High School athletic programs.

John graduated from the Funeral Service Education program at Jefferson State. He is a member of Church of Christ, and enjoys hunting, playing the banjo, and spending time with family and friends. Austin moved to Sheffield in 1941, and has lived there ever since with his wife of more than 50 years, Annie Mae. He began helping in the funeral business in 1955 at Mays Brown-Service in Tuscumbia. In 1959, he started at Spry Funeral Home, but was called away by the Army from 1961 until 1967. He then worked at Reynolds Aluminum and TVA Browns Ferry until he decided to become a full time licensed funeral director  in 1988.

Geneva has worked at Elkins since September 1987. She is a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County and is a member of First Baptist Center Star and a graduate of Brooks High School. She enjoys reading and spending time with her granddaughter, Natalie. Her family also includes a daughter, Courtney, and a son-in-law, Eric.

Edna McCormick, Receptionist

Edna joined Elkins Funeral Home in January 1992 and serves as the receptionist and administrative assistant. She is a native of Lauderdale County and has resided in Killen for more than 30 years. She has two children, Betty and Charles, six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren and enjoys working with flowers.

Bonnie Littrell, Office Assistant

A lifelong Lauderdale County resident, Bonnie serves as a volunteer with ECM Hospital. She graduated from Lexington High School and was voted “Most Likely to Succeed” her senior year. Bonnie was a bookkeeper at the Lauderdale County Co-Operative in Florence from 1954 until she retired in 1999. She then worked at the Co-Op’s Elgin branch until 2002. She and her late husband have two daughters, Vicky and Tracy, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Cleveland L. Ivy, Funeral Assistant

Cleveland has worked at the funeral home since May 2002, but retired from American General Life and Accident Insurance Company. He is native and lifelong resident of Florence and is active in that community by serving as a deacon and an adult Sunday school teacher. He and his wife, Carolyn, have a daughter, Charlene, a son, Jeff, and three grandchildren, Cody, Paige and Cutter. He enjoys golf and helping his neighbors and friends.

Kendall Ward, Funeral Assistant

Kendall, originally from Dublin, GA, graduated from West Laurens High School in 1989. He currently serves as the Pastor of Trinity Faith Church in Elgin. He and his wife, Cindy, have two daughters, both married to ministers, and four grandchildren. Kendall and Cindy live in Killen and he enjoys hunting, fishing, and studying history.
